Want to join?
After leaving the ranks of active duty, many 5500’s start to miss the good ol’ days of performing. Want to join BAF but think it’s been too long since you last tried to “snap and pop?”
You can do it, Marine!
A few months of practice and you will be surprised how well your chops come back.
Marching? Now, there’s no pressure. In fact, you are surrounded by people who really want to be there. And – they will help you get back into the swing of things and have a lot of fun, too.
If you have doubts, talk to anyone in the band. We have all been there.
Band of America’s Few could use your talent and comaradarie.
We have many different levels of participation designed to fit everyone’s needs. You do not have to perform to be a part of Band of America’s Few. Every one of us is vital to the development and strength of this amazing organization.
Become a fan of BAF simply log on to Facebook, find Band of America’s Few page and LIKE us. As a fan you will receive updates on what is going on with the band, news about events in the active duty Marine Corps music field, and photos from our events not to mention the opportunity to reconnect with brothers and sisters.
We are a non-profit organization. Without the financial support of our fans, our members, and our communities we would not be able to share our very unique organization and music. Every penny counts – please give what you can, when you can.
Participants have full access to our “Band Hall.” This is where all of the detail work happens from administrative to event sign ups and details, a full music library as well as full interaction with other participants. We ask that participants make a donation of $25 per year and can be paid for via our PayPal link on the opening page of bandofamericasfew.com or by check to our Treasurer. You DO NOT have to be an active participant in order to receive participant benefits.
You MUST have participant benefits in order to become an active participant. Our “Band Hall” is where all of our event information and music library is accessed and shared. As an active participant you must have been a Marine Corps musician and you must have had an honorable discharge. We have different types of performances that you may choose from – 2 or 3 day performances to 3 week events, sit down concerts only or full on floor shows and parades. Performances are voluntary – you may pick and choose those that fit your style, your schedule, and your budget.
If you would like to become an active participant or would like more information on becoming an active participant, please feel free to contact us at: RECRUITING
